• Drive on the N1 towards Cape Town.
• Keep in the right lanes and drive over the flyover bridge towards the Waterfront.
• When the N1 finishes at the city at the traffic lights, drive straight ahead onto Buitengracht.
• Continue straight on Buitengracht for about 1.6km (follow the sign Cable Car).
• On the left hand side, you will see a Caltex petrol station at traffic lights.
• Turn left at the traffic lights into Buitensingel.
• Go down the hill and carry on straight through the lights at the bottom into Orange Street.
• On your right, you will see the Mount Nelson Hotel Entrance (pink archway).
• By the first set of traffic lights after the Mount Nelson Hotel, turn right into Upper Orange Street.
• The 5th street on your right is Montrose Ave.
• Rutland Lodge will be on your left by the stop sign crossing with Forest Rd.

• Drive on the N2 towards Cape Town.
• Stay on the N2 to Cape Town, do not take the M3 Muizenberg turnoff.
• Later the N2 will branch off with the M3. Take the left branch onto the M3, Philip Kgosana Drive, and drive for 4km along Table Mountain overlooking Cape Town.
• When the speed limit reduces to 60km (beware robot), turn left following Cable Way M62 Camps Bay (it’s the same road).
• Go over the flyover bridge along the Gardens Shopping Centre. Just after the first traffic light stay on the left lane that will lead to a T-junction.
• At the stop sign turn left into Upper Orange Street.
• The 5th street on the right is Montrose Ave.
• Rutland Lodge will be on your left by the stop sign crossing with Forest Rd.
